This was the final project at the Corso Superiore della Fondazione Ratti of 2004. I projected the image of our Visiting Professor, Jimmy Durham, with his eyes open, on the face of each of the 25 students at the residency, with their eyes closed. The result is a series of photographs where the traits of the students and those of Durham become one and undistinguishable. The experience of "seeing through a guide's eyes" is at once literal, mystical, and unsettling.
